NC takes out protest march against civilian killings

Srinagar, August 8: The opposition party in Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference on Monday took out a protest march against what it called ‘excessive use of force on protesters in Kashmir’.

The sitting legislators of the party wore black bands and alongwith other senior leaders began a march from the party headquarters in Srinagar.

They were stopped by police near the tourist reception centre.

The party members shouted slogans, like ‘Jis Kashmir ko khoon se seench who Kashmir hamara hai’, as they marched ahead with placards reading the messages: ‘Stop use of unbridled force’, ‘stop innocent killings’, ‘stop mass arrests’ and ‘Start Dialogue’.
