Inspect ongoing development works
TANGMARG: Minister for Agricultural development, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir today visited different areas of Tangmarg and reviewed the developmental progress ongoing in his constituency. He said that in order to transform the socio- economic profile of the people an effective mechanism should be put in place for sustainable and collective development of the state.
While addressing the gathering, the Minister said that government has given special focus towards inclusive development of the State with thrust on infrastructure and upgradation of various facilities to enhance the living standard of people especially living in the far off and remote areas of the State.
Mr. Mir said that development of the state has been accelerated and several schemes have been undertaken in different fields like RDD, R&B, PHE, Health etc which have ensured the socio economic development of the people besides ensuring that the benefits percolates to the ground level.
Mr. Mir impressed upon the people of the area to change their attitude from small area development view to collective development mode and also sought cooperation from people of the area specifically and the people of the state in general for holistic development of state.
Several deputations led by Panches and Sarpanches met the minister and put forth several demands including Upgradartion of roads ,schools and Primary Health centre, and Pump sheds for Agricultural fields etc.
The minister gave them patient hearing and assured that all their genuine demands would be readdressed at the earliest.
Referring to the various initiatives undertaken by the government for development of the state, the minister said that 177 CD Blocks have been created which would further accelerate the pace of development. He said that the new administrative units would start functioning soon and in this regard the necessary exercises have already been completed.
