Jammu, Aug 6: A National Investigation Agency (NIA) team on Thursday visited the site where a BSF convoy was attacked by two terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district and the village where one of them fled but was caught by residents and handed over to police, officials said.
Meanwhile, interrogation of Naved, alias Mohmmad Usman/Qasim Khan continued in the joint interrogation centre here.
“An NIA team headed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sunil Kumar visited the site at Narsu Nallah in Udhampur district where terrorists yesterday (on Wednesday) ambushed a BSF convoy killing two troopers and injuring 11 others, top state government sources said.
“The team also visited the Chindi village where the LeT (Lashkar-e-Taiba) terrorist Usman had taken three villagers hostage who later over-powered him and handed him over to police,” they added.
Usman has already been shifted to the JIC in Talab Tillo area here where teams of state and central intelligence agencies are interrogating him.
