No Polythene drive by Municipal Veterinary Officer, defaulters fined

The Municipal Veterinary Officer, Dr. Zafar Iqbal along with field staff on the directions of worthy Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Sh. Soujanya Kumar Sharma conducted a polythene drive at New Plot, Janipur, Roop Nagar, Muthi, Talab Tillo etc

While checking 9 Kg of ploythene carry bags was seized and fine to the tune of Rs. 1700/- has been realized from the defaulters .Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to all the local citizens say no to polythene bags, use jute bags instead of ploythene for carrying their eatables as well as they were awared about hazardous effects of polythene bags.

The drive will remain continue in near future against use of polythene. All the shopkeepers running in the market are strictly warned and directed  not to use polythene.
