Nobody can erode Article 370 from JK: Meem Afzal


Srinagar : All India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesperson on Thursday said that the Article 370 which gives special status to the state Jammu and Kashmir cannot be eroded.
He said that Article 370 is the connection between India and the state Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing a press conference here at Hotel Pamposh, AICC spokesperson said that “Article 370 is the bridge between India and Jammu and Kashmir and nobody can erode it from JK.”
“We (congress party) won’t allow anyone to erode Article 370 from the state. We have always supported it and will continue to do so,” he said.
Asked about issue of West Pakistan Refugees, Afzal said, “It is really an human issue but the government should take other political parties on board to discuss the matter and whatever the decision would be taken in general, we will support,”
While terming demonetization of old currency notes as ‘surgical strike’ against the people of India, Afzal said that the demonetization has resulted in the miseries among the common people. “Nobody is happy with the decision taken by PM Modi. With the demonetization, 10 lakh people across the country have been rendered jobless as the Modi led regime in the centre has forced them to stuck in the long queues to get their own money they have deposited,” he said.
He said that the government claims over attack on black money proves hoax as the 6 per cent people having black money are enjoying their life while the poor section of the society has been forced to render jobless and to face tremendous hardships.
AICC spokesperson questioned to government come clear where they are taking the country.
He demanded the inquiry must be ordered regarding the deposition of huge amount by the BJP ministers in their bank accounts.
