Srinagar, October 05: Mufti led state government has failed to fulfill one of its stated objectives of the new policy. In this policy government was to fill seven thousand five hundred posts in various government offices on fast track basis under the new recruitment rules but the government is about to miss the deadline.
As reported in a leading daily, according to State Education minister, Naeem Akhtar, the hiring process for the 7,500 different posts in government offices started in September while the new set of rules were applied in July. But as a matter of fact, no new person has been employed in any government office yet.
On 1st of September, Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board advertised posts under the new recruitment rules for about three thousand and seven hundred posts of divisional and district cadre and it’s been more than a month, no dates have been announced for written test until now.
However, an official of JKSSB said that the recruitment is a wide process and it takes time, as quoted by the daily.
Although, the notification for the new set of rules listed in SRO-202 and named ‘Jammu and Kashmir Special Recruitment Rules – 2015’ was issued on June 30 and it had come in application by then. The government took two months for this with the reason best known to them.
