BARAMULLA: District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone chaired a meeting of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) to finalization Annual Action Plan for the current financial year.
District Youth Co-ordinator NYK, Baramulla, Hakeem Abdul Aziz, District Social Welfare Officer, Mr. Assad Ullah, Chief Medical Officer, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Lead Bank Officer and other concerned officers participated the meeting.
Giving details of the Action Plan, District Co-ordinator NYK said that strengthen the existing network of youth clubs with representation of all sections of society four programmes of five days each covering of all blocks of Baramulla district will be organised in which 40 clubs will be involved and registered in the district. He said that enhances capacity of youth in equipping them basic equalities of leadership and knowledge of community development schemes further four programmes for three days duration will be organized in all blocks of the district, involving 60 clubs. Three sports meets vocational programmes for all blocks of Baramulla observation of national day conducting of blood donation camps, facilitation, Plantation, Mahila Mandals with silk development training programmes will be conduct during 2014-15. He further revealed that to provide opportunity to rural youth for showing their talent sports meet involving various youth clubs and Mahila Mandals will be organized and the talented youth will be awarded cash prize. Sports material will also be provided to 60 clubs and Mahila Mandals for promoting sports culture programme.
On the occasion, the District Development Commissioner stressed for the need of returning of the action plan so that it can be adjusted with local. Practical and need based programmes which can lead to fruitful results. He instructed for coordinating with all concerned departments especially education and sports so that all the envisaged commitments in action plan of national guidelines are fulfilled well in time.
