Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is under house arrest since the last twelve days and is obviously cut off from the rest of the world as Jammu and Kashmir face lockdown. Earlier, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti were put under detention in the same premises. But following spats and fights between the two, both of them were moved to separate places for detention.
Under detention, Omar is spending time playing video games. Earlier, his request to play video games was denied by the authorities as most of the games require access to the internet. To this, Omar responded that he can play older versions of the video games which do not require internet access and hence, he is allowed by the authorities to play the video games. Tech-savvy, as he is, Abdullah used to keep his followers updated about his views through his Twitter handle. Now that he cannot do that, he has sort refuge in being a gamer.
On the other side, former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is spending her time by performing some religious as well as some intellectual activity. These days, she keeps herself busy in praying and reading books. Both these ex-chief ministers are devoid of any access to the outer world for security reasons. It will be interesting to see what will be their first step whenever they get released.
