Jammu and Kashmir News
Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah has alarmed Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to not ignore the “wake up call” following the twin attacks on the mobile showroom and tower in Karnnagar of Srinagar today morning.
Expressing himself on Twitter he says, “Thank goodness no injuries or casualties but Mufti can’t afford to ignore this wake up call,” adding, “Srinagar isn’t Sopore.”
The attacks by unidentified men recall the horror of similar attacks in May this year on mobile telecommunication outlets in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The unknown terrorist group Lashkar-e-Islam had claimed responsibility for the previous attacks and had also publicized posters warning people to shut down their telecom business and services, failing which they would be killed.
The government has repeatedly criticized a fraction of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist outfit for the frequent attacks in the month of May. The militant outfit however said that in the light of the report submitted by the inquiry commission, it has already suspended Abdul Qayoom Najar from the basic membership of the organization as according to the outfit the militant was found involved in killing innocent and also the recent attacks on cellular towers in Kashmir.
