Omar wishes Eid in advance; No internet for Kashmir after 4 pm today


JAMMU: This Eid, the Mehbooba Mufti government is mulling to take down internet in Kashmir.

Announcing this, the ex-chief minister Omar Abdullah tweeted: “I won’t have an internet connection after 4PM. Have a blessed Eid & those of you celebrating please pray for lasting peace in #Kashmir.”

Omar’s tweet came minutes after the reports started doing rounds that internet will be banned on this Eid.

One of the local internet providers told Kashmir Life that he received a letter from authorities, directing him to shut down the services from 4pm today.
