Srinagar, Nov 23: A man was killed and three others injured on Monday in a road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, apparently due to thick fog, police said.
His vehicle collided with a cement mixer at Mirgund in Baramulla district on the Srinagar-Muzaffarbad highway.
One person died while three others were seriously inured in a road accident, apparently caused due to heavy fog in north Kashmir’s Mirgund area on Monday morning.
As per reports, a Tavera carrying newspapers from Srinagar to Kupwara collided with a cement mixer on Srinagar-Baramulla road near Mirgund, resulting in critical injuries to three persons.
The driver of the vehicle identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat Son of Ali Mohammad a resident of Ratnipora Pulwama died on the spot, said a police official.
Dense fog blanketed most parts of the Kashmir Valley on Monday morning, causing inconvenience to motorists and commuters due to low visibility.
Meanwhile, due to heavy snow there is a low visibilty on the Srinagar Airport and no flights has been landed.
