KULGAM, SEPTEMBER 28:- Minister of State for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Forest and Animal Husbandry, Mr. Abdul Majeed Padder visited rain hit areas of Kulgam district. He also took stock of relief and restoration measures.
The Minister accompanied by officers of district administration Kulgam visited Laisoo, Gudar, Pahloo, Chatripora, Gasran and D.H Pora.
Laisoo village on banks of Vaishow nallah was badly hit by rains on 22 and 23 of September which fully damaged 9 houses and 19 houses suffered partial damages. The Minister assured the affected families all possible support from the government.
On the occasion, Mr. Padder distributed Rs 5000 each among the families whose houses were fully damaged and Rs 2000 each among those with partial damaged houses from his own expenses.
While interacting with the people, the Minister said that present dispensation led by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed will leave no stone unturned in addressing public issues and all measures will be taken for welfare of people.
Mr. Padder instructed the concerned officers to remain at the beck call of public and ensure all basic amenities to them.
The district Administration Kulgam has also distributed 21 tents and 108 blankets among the affected besides eatables and bedding.
