Pakistan violates ceasefire in Jammu

Pakistan Rangers on Sunday fired at Indian positions on the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

“Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing at BSF (Border Security Force) outposts in Kotranka area of R.S. Pura sector,” a police officer told.

Pakistan troops have violated the bilateral ceasefire agreement over a dozen times during the last seven days on the border, causing panic among thousands of villagers in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts.

These border residents have been forced to abandon their homes and agricultural fields for fear of life.
