Jammu: The Pakistan army on Thursday again violated the ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC), firing on at Indian positions in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, a defence official said.
Earlier on Thursday, Pakistani troops had opened unprovoked fire on Indian positions in Poonch and Jammu districts.
“Pakistan army fired at our positions on the LoC in Balakote sector of Rajouri district using 82mm, automatic weapons and small arms, defence spokesman, Col. Manish Mehta told media Sources here.
“Pakistan firing at these places started at 4.15 a.m. and lasted till 5.10 a.m. Our troops retaliated,” Col. Mehta had said earlier.
“They also fired at our positions in Bhimber Gali from 12.30 a.m. to 1.30 a.m. and in Krishna Ghati sector from 8 p.m. to 8.15 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday),” he added.
