PCC spokesman condemned the act of unprovoked firing at Babu Singh’s residence

PCC Spokesman Mr. Y. V. Sharma condemned the distortedly act of unprovoked firing at the residence of Congress candidate Mr. Babu Singh by the son of PDP candidate from Kathua constituency on the evening of 22nd November, 2014.

According to the complaint filed by the Congress candidate from the constituency Mr. Babu Singh, Nitin Sharma son of PDP candidate Mr. Subash Chander Sharma entered the house of Mr. Babu Singh, abused the members of the family and fired at Babu Singh’s wife and his brother Mr. Satinder Singh. They had a narrow escape because Nitin Sharma missed his aim.

Mr. Y. V. Sharma, the Congress Spokesman termed the incident most unfortunate, especially because Nitin Sharma is the grand son of Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma-former Deputy Chief Minister of the State and son of  Mr. Subash Sharma the PDP candidate fighting election against Congress candidate Mr. Babu Singh. Y. V. Sharma felt that the frustration of disgruntled elements are compelling to vitiate the democratic process.

Mr. Y. V. Sharma appealed to all political parties to keep their flock under restrain and fight elections on the basis of their achievements and merit, because peace and harmony are the pillars of democratic process.
