PDP leader attacked in Pulwama; receives fractures in both legs
Srinagar, July A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) legislator from South Kashmir suffered fractures in both his legs while trying to escape from protesters pelting stones in Pulwama.
Mohammad Khalil Bandh, an MLA from Pulwama, was leaving the area early today morning when protesters attacked his vehicle. He was shifted to Army Base Hospital after his car turned turtle.
“We are rushing towards the hospital where he is being treated,” a senior PDP leader told media persons. “We are verifying details whether assembly member was attacked by mob or it was an accident.
Soon after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani at Kokernag, protesters had also attacked a building belonging to a PDP legislator. The house of a BJP leader was also set on fire in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
