Senior PDP Leader Vikramaditya Singh today visited Panchari block and Saddal village of udhampur district. It may be recalled that the whole village of saddal was wiped out due to a massive land slide and flood. Yuvraj Vikramaditya Singh saw debris of houses and mud silt. Expressing shock and grief over the loss of precious lives and property, he assured the people their that PDP stands beside them and shares their grief and loss. Vikramaditya talked to the survivors of the village who told him about the horrifying calamity. They have lost everything including livelihood. Some of the survivors complained that some lives could have been saved, had there been a proper road connectivity to the village. They expressed the urgent need of road. Taking serious note of the people’s complaint, Mr Singh urged the district authority to take immediate steps for renovating and widening the road from Udhampur to Panchari Lander, and Kenth Gali to Moungri, so that the inhabitants of these villages could have a better connectivity and access to the district headquarter. the schools of the area have been damage in avalanche and the education system in the area maybe put back on the rails. Later Vikramaditya Singh distributed tents and blankets to affected people, accompanied by Hamid Choudry, Ex MLC Deepender Kour, Rajinder Manhas, Capt Anil Gour, Satpal Singh Charak, Suresh Sharma, Sukhdev Sharma,PDP Candidate Udhampur, Prittam Singh Thakur, Karan Singh, Romesh Singh Sarpanch, Rajider Singh sarpach The PDP leader assured the people that his party would do everything possible to lesson their miseries and would also request the government to provide them every help besides compensation.
