PDP workers protest against power and water crisis
Jammu, July 14: The workers of Peoples Democratic party today staged a protest against the ongoing power and water crisis in Nanak Nagar. Assembly election candidate Amreek Singh Reen blamed NC led coaltion Govt for its failure to provide relief to the people of Jammu from the problem of power and water scarcity.
“People of Jammu in general and Gandhi Nagar constituency in particular are facing lot of trouble due to the ongoing power and water crisis. They are dealing with six to eight hours of power cut. I blame the NC- Cong coalition government for this. Crisis has worsened. People are fighting with it,” said Reen.
He also criticised Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who also holds power portfolio for not fulfilling the promise to supply uninterrupted power supply to metered areas.
Reen said said that both NC as well as Cong are equally responsible for power and water crisis. He added that the current situation of Power is even worse than the states which are supposed to to be under developed and the protest will continue till further respite.
The protest was held under the leadership of Amreek Singh Reen. Surjeet Kour, Virender Singh Sonu, Harmmet Singh, Jasbir Singh, Tejinder singh, Bupinder Singh, Guatam gupta, Sandeep singh and others participated in the protest.
