People friendly policies of Govt appreciated by all: Gul
SRINAGAR: The Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Mubarak Gul has said that the priority of the Government is holistic development of all the three regions of in order to usher the State in an era of development and prosperity. He said that remarkable progress on all fronts has been witnessed by the people, who are appreciating people friendly policies of the current government headed by young and dynamic Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.
Mr. Gul was addressing gatherings during his tour to various areas of his constituency including S D A Rakh Colony in Eidgagh today.
The Speaker said several measures have been taken by the Government for the up-liftment of the weaker sections of the society.
Recalling the contribution of Late Sheri-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, the Speaker said that the contribution of Late legendary leader for the betterment of the people of the State will be remembered for ever.
Responding to the demands put forth by the locals at Rakh Colony, the Speaker said that construction of Community Hall, Dispensary, Ration Ghat buildings and Mechanization of Mail Road will be started soon. He said Rs.1.97 crore would be spent on these projects and maintained that up gradation of the school is under active consideration of the Government.
The Speaker said that he had already given directions to the health department for opening of dispensary in the area as the building for the same is yet to be completed. Mr. Gul said that the matter with regard to Home Delivery of Gas Cylinder would be taken up with the concerned at an earliest.
In response to repairs and renovation of main holes in the area, the Speaker gave on the spot direction to the Srinagar Development Authority for immediate redressal.
During the tour, the Speaker inspected various ongoing developmental works in the area and directed the officers to work with zeal, dedication and utmost honesty. He also directed them to speed up the pace of work on all under execution works and complete them in a stipulated timeframe.
Mr. Gul stressed upon the officers to maintain close coordination with the public as the rapport between the people and the administration is to key the success of the development.
The Speaker was accompanied by the senior officers of various departments including Managing Director, Housing and Deputy Director, Srinagar Development Authority.
