The job was the part of company’s corporate social responsibility and the offer was made to special cricketer on the recommendation made by the Anantnag district administration. The news has been confirmed by the Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag Muneer-ul Islam.

Recently, the district administration felicitated this special cricketer for his amazing performance despite all odds on the cricket field. During a function organised to honour Lone in district headquarters, Anantnag, he was presented a cheque of Rs 10,000 along with a kit containing cricketing gear and a memento.

DC applauded the efforts of Amir Hussain Lone and called him an inspiration. He said that it is all because of his determination and dedication towards sports that made him reach the skies of success.

“His perseverance, dedication and hope had made him an ambassador and role model for the youth of the state,” said the deputy commissioner.

As mentioned in earlier post of U4UVoice “J&K Para cricket captain, has no arms but is one of the finest bowlers and batsmen“, Amir is a resident of Waghama village of Bijbehara in Kashmir and leads the para-cricket team of Jammu and Kashmir. He was just seven years old when he lost both arms in an accident.

The incident never lowered the morals of the boy and with a dream to play for national para-cricket team of India, he continued to play and as a result he developed his lower limbs to function like arms and hands.
