Pledge administered to mark anti-terrorism day
Reasi, May 22: Administering anti-terrorism pledge to employees of government departments, and seminars cum discussions marked observance of the death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi as anti-terrorism day in the district.
Deputy Commissioner, Reasi-Susham Chauhan administered the pledge to the staff of administrative block of mini secretariat Reasi on Thursday morning. The day is observed to generate awareness among all the section of people about the danger of terrorism and violence and its effect on people, society and the country as a whole said Chauhan while addressing the gathering.
She added that as responsible citizen everyone should unite to curb all such activities that threaten the existence of people and added that all kinds of terrorism activities should be resisted by any means.
The staff at all the government officers of district as well as block took a pledge to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence and uphold and promote peace and social harmony.
At Block 2 of mini secretariat the pledge was administered by ACD Reasi-Suram Chand Sharma. DTO Mahesh Sharma, CMO-Parminder Singh, DPO-Susheel Khajuria, DYSSO-Dr Swaran Singh Chib, Manager JKBank, Assistant Legal METROLOGY Inspector-Rajesh Heera, ExEn R&B and staff of all the departments of block was present on the occasion.
Several discussions, debates, and lectures on the issue of threat of terrorism and violence in the country were organized across the district in the schools and colleges on the occasion.
