Police and Protestors clash at Indra chowk, DSP injured


JAMMU, Jan 28: Clashes have been reported, between police and protesters at Indira chowk Jammu.

A rally was being taken out by the SC/ST community, regarding the reservation issue and they wanted to meet some representative from Secreterait to address the issue.

Whilst police interrupted the protestors, the group of people started damaging the barricades. Simultaneously, the war of words turned physical, when the protestors started pelting stones at police personnel. DSP Vivek Shehkhar allegedly got injured as protestors turned violent.

In order to disperse the crowd, police resorted to tear-gas shelling.
