Police collecting details of cases against separatists

Srinagar, January 02: If reports of this local daily are to be believed, the top brass of police and other security agencies working in Kashmir have decided to collect the details of all the cases registered against the separatists leaders since 2012.

As per the sources, a number of cases have been registered against the separatists in different police stations across Jammu and Kashmir and most of them are out on bail. The ground level officials are directed to collect all the details of the cases that have been registered against the separatists and the action taken report.

The sources further said that these leaders break law most of the times and get away very easily but the police department has now decided to take strict action against these people who have made law-breaking a ritual event.

The low rung officials are busy collecting the details. After the completion of process, these leaders will have to face strict actions if seen instigating people by their fiery speeches and by indulging in anti-national rhetoric, sources revealed.

Only because of these people, a hundreds of police and paramilitary men have been injured in stone pelting but they always escaped after instigating the crowd and orchestrate the street protests. The sources have also said that the Police have identified the henchmen who organize these protests and lure unemployed youth.

Now, the state has devised a mechanism to end this culture of Stone pelting in Kashmir. It has also identified and choked several hawala channels through money reaches to the separatists. It is now monitoring other sources through which separatists get funds and very soon these channels would be taken care off, sources added.

A police official in Kashmir said that directions have been given to them by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to take tough action against any person who poses threat to peace and wants to vitiate the atmosphere.
