Police organises symposium on disaster preparedness and Management with special focus on recent floods and earth quakes

Srinagar June 17: In its efforts to create awareness among general masses to tackle any natural or manmade disaster, Anantnag police organized a symposium on “Disaster preparedness and management” at Auditorium of Government Degree College for women’s Anantnag . Anantnag police organized a symposium on the theme of Disaster preparedness and management with special focus on recent floods and earth quakes” at Auditorium of Government Degree College for women’s Anantnag in which a good number of students of various Government higher secondary, High Schools of town Anantnag participated.

The programme was aimed to create awareness among general masses to tackle any natural or manmade disaster. On the occasion SSP Anantnag and DC Anantnag also spoke about various issued related to disaster management.
First three position were bagged by Hadiya Jan daughter of Mohammad Shafi Ganie from GHS Brakpora, Maika Majeed daughter of Abdul Majeed of GHS Khanabal and Monis Abdul Majeed son of Altaf Hussain from GHSS Kadipora and were awarded cash prizes of Rs 6000, 5000 and 3000 respectively.
