Police rebuts news report: “DSP, SHO threw our son to death”

SRINAGAR SEPTEMBER 05: Reacting to a news report appearing in a section of the press, a spokesman of the Zonal Police Headquarters Kashmir said the news story under the heading, “DSP, SHO threw our son to death: Basit’s family”, is not based on facts.

The ZPH spokesman clarified that the said person Basit Ahmad Ahanger resident of Vessu, Qazigund was injured on 3rd of September 2016 during stone pelting on police and security forces near Vessu. The said boy got injured in his head when he slipped and fell down in a concrete drain.

The allegation that the said person was thrown into the stream is factually incorrect and as such the story is rebutted, he said.
