Post offices in Jammu and Kashmir will start core banking services at 13 of it’s head post offices with in next quarter. Chief Post Master General Chandra Prakash today said that core banking services would launched soon to provide banking service to customers.
ATMs would be installed by the department to provide banking facilities to customers across the state, so that they can withdraw money like normal banks. The network would be connected to the vast number of branches across the country where customers can deposit, and withdraw the money.
A slew of services would be offered to the customers and the department is modernizing it’s mail and tracking system. It is to be noted that postal department is celebrating the national postal week and a number of programmes are being organized to mark the occasion.
