Power shutdown in Jammu

JAMMU, OCTOBER 10- In order to carry out the rectification of hotspots routine/preventive maintenance in Grid Station, Barn and Barn-Kishenpur transmission line, shut down is required on 220 KV Barn-Kishenpur Transmission Line  and 220/132/33 KV Grid Station Barn on October 11, 2015 from 7 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

During the shutdown period power supply to Grid Station, Canal, Pounichak, Katra, Rajouri, Draba, Jourian and Barn shall remain off.

The area affected shall be district Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch and part of District Jammu.

Meanwhile, In order to carry out preventive maintenance of Grid Station Ramban and Transmission line, the shutdown of 220/132/33 KV Grid Station Ramban alongwith 220 KV D/C KPTL both Circuits (CKT-I and CKT-II) is observed on 11.10.2015 from 9 am to 3 pm.

During the shutdown period, the power supply to entire Ramban district, Ramsoo, Sangaldan, Chanderkote including BHEP Batote, Assar and Southern part of Kashmir shall remain affected.

In order to carrying out the preventive maintenance of Grid Station Akhnoor as well as replacement of damaged LA’s, burn out jumpers, droppers alongwith branch cutting of trees all along these transmission lines and maintenance by way of frightening of jumpers etc the shutdown of 132 KV S/C Gladni-Kalakote Transmission line, 132 KV D/C Barn-Akhnoor and 132/33 KV G/S Akhnoor are allowed on 11-10-2015 and 18-10-2015 from 7.30 am to 1.30 pm.

During the shutdown period, power supply to district Rajouri and Poonch alongwith Tehsil Akhnoor shall be affected.

Similarly, in order to carrying out the work of PCC pole erection and installation of HT/LT cable laying by M/S.I RCON International Ltd under RAPDRP project the shutdown of D-5, WZ-1, D-4 and J-15 feeders are allowed on 15-10-2015 to 21-10-2015 (excluding holiday) from 9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 5 pm.

During the shutdown period, power supply to Peerkho, Paccki Dhaki, Jullaka Mohalla, Hari Mohalla, Lower Gujjar Nagar, DC Office, Ambphalla and Karan Nagar shall be affected.

The shutdown is subject to fair weather condition.

Whereas, the shutdown of 320 MVA 220/132/66 KV Grid Station Hiranagar including 220 KV Hiranagar-Gladni and Sarna-Hiranagar transmission lines along with 132 KV Hiranagar-Sewa-II D/C transmission line which has been allowed on 12-10-2015 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. is cancelled.
