Probe ordered in the unconditional release of caught govt officials
Jammu, July 24: Police have initiated probe into the ‘unconditional’ release of a senior officer and a senior woman officer, who were caught red handed in a compromising situation on the city outskirts by a police official.
According to media reports, the two officials were allowed to go ‘unconditionally’ after they allegedly greased the palms of the police official who had caught them.
Taking cognizance of this, a senior police officer has reportedly initiated a probe into the alleged incident, sources said.
The social welfare department is seldom in news even as the state of J&K is known as a social welfare state. A senior officer of Social Welfare Department (SWD) was allegedly caught with a female officer in Jammu outskirts a few days ago according to an Early Times report and this piece of information has created ripples in the department.
According to the report, a senior officer of Social Welfare Department (SWD) along with a subordinate were found in a car in the city outskirts by a Police Officer.
The report further says that the duo was initially intercepted by police near a Naka and were allowed to go when the official claimed the female officer was his wife.
However, one of the police officers at the checkpost, who knew the senior officer of SWD, chased their car and found them in objectionable position at an isolated corner.
According to the sources in the report, the officer who chased settled the matter by accepting money.
