Progress under Education Sector review at Kupwara

SRINAGAR : The District Development Commissioner, Kupwara convened officers and engineers meeting to review the progress achieved under the Education sector in respect of Elementary, Secondary Education, State Sector, Earthquake damages school buildings and RMSA scheme here today.
The meeting was informed that Rs. 1127.91 lakhs were incurred on the execution of 34 school buildings in the district during the last fiscal.It was also given out that under Elementary Education Rs. 78.55 lakhs were utilized on completion of 11 school buildings, under Secondary Education besides 13 school buildings were completed at an expenditure of Rs. 54.05 lakhs. While under State Sector 2 School buildings were completed at an expenditure of Rs. 158.97 lakhs and 3 School buildings which were damaged due to earthquake in Karnah were completed at a cost of Rs. 71.94 lakhs.
It was further given out that under RMSA, 39 school buildings were taken up in which 5 school buildings were completed at an expenditure of Rs. 764.85 lakhs during the same period.
The District Development Commissioner impressed upon the executing and monitoring agencies to work with more zeal, coordination and complete the ongoing works within the stipulated timeframe.
