Jammu, August 17: Disagreement between coalition partners of the state government has led to the major delay in the promotion and posting of several KAS officers to the post of Additional Secretary .
Official sources revealed that the cases of 15 KAS officers are pending, out of which 12 were promoted in March and other 3 in month of April but no further posting has been made even after four months due to objections raised by BJP.
Insiders claimed that the Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is willing to clear the files, but further posting of these Babus is still in oblivion and despite repeated appeals by these KAS officers to BJP ministers, the matter is still hanging in balance.

However, sources in civil secretariat maintained that the matter is under process would be cleared soon. “Cases have been finalized, it is expected that the orders will be issued by Tuesday, by General Administration Department”, said officer, wishing not to be named. However, he refused to speak over delay in promotion and posting.
