The protest broke out after Friday congregational prayers to condemn ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza. The protesters carried placards in support of Palestinians were shouted pro-Islamic and anti-Israel slogans and urged upon the union government to immediately intervene in the matter and help to end the brutal massacre of men, women and children in Gaza.
They also appealed the world community not to remain a mute spectator to this naked aggression by Israel and should demand immediate end of the massacre of men, women and children in Gaza.
Jamia Masjid Cleric Hilal Beig while addressing the reporters said, “It is not only Israel which is responsible for the crime against the humanity but the entire world community should share a blame as it has maintained deliberate silence over the matter.”
The world community should shun this dual policy over the Gaza crisis and maintained unless it awakes from the deep slumber nothing concrete will come out, he added. “We want to convey to the world that Muslims in Jammu also feel the pain of the people of Gaza who children and women are mercilessly killed by cruel Israeli forces,” he added.
