BANDIPORA, JANUARY 12: As many as 60459 children in the age group of 0-5 years are being administrated anti-polio drops under National immunization Campaign on January 17, 2016 in the first phase. For the purpose, 325 pulse polio booths have been established where 1300 employees, Anganwari workers, ASHA workers and other volunteers will perform their duty.
This was stated during a meeting of district task force committee here today with District Development Commissioner Bandipora in chair. During the meeting, all the arrangements made by the health department were finalized.
It was given out that 65 supervisors have been engaged to supervise the whole process of immunization while as block level mobile teams have been constituted besides 10 transit points identified.
The District Development Commissioner on the occasion asked health officers to ensure cent percent coverage under the campaign so that the polio disease is eradicated completely. He also appealed the parents to bring their children to nearby PPI centre to administer them pulse polio vaccine.
