Rajendra pays rich tributes to former DGP Kalra, remembers his valuable contribution to JKP


SRINAGAR:  Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of former DGP, T.R. Kalra on behalf of the entire J&K Police Organization. The former top cop passed away this morning at his Jammu residence.

The rich tributes were paid to the former DGP at a condolence meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Mr. Rajendra, which was attended by several senior officers of Police.


Mr. Rajendra described former DGP an able and thorough professional officer, who led the Jammu and Kashmir Police organization towards great success. During his entire service career, from 1962 to 1993, the late officer served the department in different important positions with honesty and dedication, and the force under his leadership achieved many significant achievements. The J&K Police Department will remember his rich contribution for many years to come. In this hour of grief, the entire Police organization expresses complete solidarity with the bereaved family and prays for eternal peace to the departed soul, said Mr. Rajendra.

Additional Directors General of Police, Mr. V.K. Singh, Mr. S.M. Sahai, Mr. Dilbagh Singh and L. Mohanti, IsGP S.J.M Gillani, S.L Sharma, Sunil Kumar and DIG CKR Ghulam Hassam Bhat also highlighted the rich contribution of late Mr. Kalra and described his demise as a big loss to the organization.

On the occasion, a 2-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the deceased.
