Rajendra reviews security scenario in south Kashmir
SRINAGAR: Director General of Police , K Rajendra Kumar has said that Jammu and Kashmir Police has a history of public service from the date of its establishment. The Police force, after facing tough challenge of militancy, has succeeded in bringing peace in the State.
Mr. Rajendra was addressing Jawans and officers at a police durbar held at District Police Lines Anantnag. He said that the brave jawans and officers have offered supreme sacrifices of their lives while protecting the people and their properties.
He said that with the active cooperation of the people, the force has succeeded in eradicating the menace of militancy and restoring peace in the State.
Appreciating the role of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Lok Sabha elections, K. Rajendra said that upcoming Legislative Assembly polls and Amar Nath Yatra are the future challenges for the force.
