Rashly driven bus killed two in Udhampur

Udhampur, October 30: Two brother died after getting hit by a rashly driven bus on Thursday evening on the Dhar Road.

The deceased were identified as Vinod Sharma who is an employee of Government Agriculture Department and his younger brother Aman Sharma who was atudying at the Government Degree College Udhampur, sons of Vishwamurti Sharma of Sunetar, Ramnagar. Both were presently residing at Kallar, Udhampur were going to their married sister’s residence for presenting sweets and other customary items on the eve of Karva Chauth when a rashly driven bus from rear side hit their two-wheeler.

The younger brother Aman reportedly died on the spot while the elder Vinod succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.

As per reports, the bus bearing registration number JK08A-5559 was not carrying any passenger and driver managed to escape after hitting the vehicle. The driver was alleged of driving the bus rashly and reported to hit some other vehicles before knocking down both the brothers.

The case against the bus driver has been registered with Udhampur Police.The police has seize the bus and a manhunt to nab the absconding driver has also been launched as well.
