MLA Baramulla Javed Hassan Beigh who had joined the chorus of “dissenter” legislators on Monday participated in a party meeting called over upcoming Panchayat and municipal elections in the state.
Reports said that disgruntled PDP legislator from Baramulla Javaid Hussain Beigh also attended the meeting. Beigh, who was part of the press conference called against party leader Mehbooba Mufti had leveled serious allegations against Mehbooba accusing her of turning party into the group of a chosen few.
The junior Beigh, who is nephew of PDP co-founder Muzaffar Hussain Beigh, had launched a scathing attack on the party’s top leadership after BJP withdrew support to the PDP-led government.
Prominent Shia leader and PDP MLA Abid Ansari was the first to rise in revolt against the leadership. His nephew Imran Ansari and MLA Gulmarg Abbas Wani echoed his dissent.
Those who didn’t participate in the meeting including Imran Raza Ansari, Abid Ansari, Abdul Majeed Paddar, Yasir Reshi and Saifudin Bhat.
