Recovery of grenade from soldier at Srinagar airport a wider story: Omar

Srinagar, Apr 3: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah today said that recovery of two hand grenades from a soldier at Srinagar airport tells a wide story of problem of unaccounted weapons and ammunition.

Taking to micro blogging site twitter, the working president of the main opposition National Conference (NC) Omar said, “ Not some thing, one would usually forget to unpack before boarding a flight. Tells a wider story of the problem of unaccounted weapons & ammo.’

He was reacting to news reports that 17 JAK soldier Bopal Mukhia, a resident of Kurseong Darjeeling, on way to board Air India chartered flight from Srinagar to Delhi, was arrested along with two hand grenades at Srinagar airport today.
