Retirement age of JKAIDCL employees increased. Will other departments follow?

Jammu, May 19: On Wednesday Board of Jammu and Kashmir State Agro Industries Development Corporation Limited (JKAIDCL) decided to enhance the retirement age of their employees  from 58 to 60 years.

This came after the 64th Board of Directors (BoD) meeting of the Corporation held here under the chairmanship of Minister for Agriculture Mr Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura who is also the chairman of the Corporation.

The Board emphasized on employee of J&K AIDCL in service on 01-06-2014, or appointed on or after that date, shall retire after attaining the age of 60 years.

Implementation of 6th Pay Commission issue was also discussed in the Board meeting.

However, to workout financial implications in this regard the Board directed the Managing Director of the Corporation to come up with draft resolution

To improve the working of the Corporation, the Board decided that to improve the working of the Corporation the J&K AIDCL will take three posts of General Manager from General Administration Department (GAD) on delegation and their pay will be drawn from the Corporation.
