ReTs failing in test to be given clerical posts, another major protest on it way

Srinagar, September 12: In a very bizarre manner, the state government is thinking of giving clerical jobs  to the Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers in J&K who fail to qualify the upcoming screening test. This decision of may also spark a controversy being violation of recruitment rules.

As reported in a local daily newspaper, the examination of degrees of ReT teachers is going on as was ruled by the High Court and very soon the department will conduct a screening test. Those who will pass the test will be able to continue their job while those who will fail, the department is mulling to adjust them in various clerical jobs inside the state.

Sources have said that such kind of adjustments is not only a violation to the recruitment rules but is also stealing from the opportunity of the unemployed youth in the state. As per sources, the clerical jobs are meant for clerks and not teachers. It is as if you are giving mason’s job to the carpenter.
