REVIVAL OF OLD TRADIONAL ROUTE OF VAISHNODEVI JI WILL BOOST TOURISM VIGROUSLY : WAZIR
Jammu Mar 6: President Hotel & Restaurant Association,Katra and Co-Chairman PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu Region Rakesh Wazir while making the tour of Old Traditional route of Maa Vaishnodevi ji, whose revival construction work is going on in full swing said that series of programmes and intiatives have been lined up by PHDCCI & Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra for the revival of Tourism in the state and it is long struggle of the people and personnel intiative of then Advisor to Governor Parvez Dewan and positive approach of the present government that this project has started and within few months the distance between Katra and Akhnoor/Mathwar and other areas will get reduced by more than 42 KMs and the tourist places like Mathwar,Ambaran,Showa Mata, Jio Potta,Deva Mai and old traditional route of Vaishnodevi ji will get major boost and revival after its completion and asked the government that the other pending projects like Katra Heritage through which the upgradation of the heritage places enroute old traditional route of Katra be done at the earliest.
Mr.Wazir further said series of programmes have been arranged by PHDCCI and HRAK for the promotion of Tourism and Amdassadors’ Meet on the theme Kashmir-The way Farward wherein Ambssadors/High Commissioners/and Economic/Commercial Councellors of most of the countries of the world are assembling at PHDCCI Auditorium,New Delhi on 9th march and Chief Minister of our State Mehbooba Mufti has consented to be Chief Guest and is coming alongwith her team of some ministers ,Chairman J&K Bank etc. is major effort of the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Chief Minister herself to revive the Tourism in the state, likewise Entrepreneurs meet at Katra on 11th march at 4.30 PM at Hotel White wherein Chairman J&K Bank Parvez Ahmed and National President PHDCCI Anil Khaitan is coming is the other intiative wherein besides honouring Chairman J&K bank Parvez Ahmed for his initiatives for the revival of the Tourism and liberal financing to the J&K entrepreneurs, the interaction with him and National President PHDCCI will be made with regard to any problem to the hoteliers and industrialists and how new units can be set up with the help of the bank with simplification of its procedure will be discussed.
He said that these type of initiatives can bring positive change like removing of advisories which have been issued by some countries with regard to our state and Kashmir in particular,and removing the myth from the minds of people that state is not safe for them to visit whereas the fact on the ground is this that most of the tourist places of the state are as safe as any other part of India and even on the places where some disturbance is there, leaving aside few incidents, the tourists were never harmed by any one.
The delegation among others comprises of Ram Singh, Subhash Chander, Kartar Chand, Mohd.Ashraf, Master Jagdish Raj, Hans Raj etc.
