Rs 114650 realized as fine from erring traders
SRINAGAR, AUGUST 08: The Enforcement squad headed by Assistant Director, Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution Kashmir conducted market inspections in the Srinagar city and booked erring traders for violating Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
The markets of Habba Kadal, Fateh Kadal, Zaina Kadal, Rajouri Kadal, Mashali Mohalla, Khanyar, Dalgate, Nishat, Noor Bagh, Qamerwari, Parimpora, Mirgund, Bemina, Tengpora Bye Pass, Nowgam, Budshah Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Raj Bagh, Hawal, Alamgari Bazar, Shalimar, Chattabal, Wanabal, Rawalpora, Batmaloo, Karan Nagar, Chanapora, Natipora, Nowhatta, Dana Mazar, Eidgah, Zoonimar, Buchpora, Soura, Badamwari, Mukhdoom Sahib, Sonwar, Hyderpora, Hari Singh High Street, Shoda Gali, Maharaja Bazar, Sarai Bala etc. were inspected during the process.
During the inspection, 1054 business establishments were inspected and Rs. 1,14,650/- were recovered as fine from 163 erring shopkeepers for violation of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
