Rs. 30,200 realized from erring traders of Bandipora, Pulwama
SRINAGAR, JULY 01: The Special Squads constituted for conducting market checking in Bandipora district inspected the markets of Nadihal, Kaloosa and Bandipora during which a fine of Rs. 29,000 was realized from the defaulters on the spot. The team also confiscated 2 domestic LPG cylinders from commercial establishments. The team took stock of hygiene level being maintained by shopkeepers especially those selling food products. The people have been asked to register any complaint on Telephone No. 01957-225301.
Meanwhile, 05 quintals of polythene carry bags were seized today from a Sumo vehicle in Bandipora.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, who is also Adjudicating Officer under Food Standard and Safety Act, has imposed a fine of Rs. 50,000 on the two erring traders for violations of Food Safety Act (FSA) here.
Meanwhile, the market checking squad at Pulwama destroyed about 10 kgs of rotten vegetables and 5 Kgs of polythene were seized and handed over to Municipal Committee Pulwama for its safe bio-decompose.
Besides fine of Rs. 1200/- were also imposed on erring Vegetable shopkeepers and were recovered on spot.
