Rs. 311.02 crore disbursed under Annual Credit Plan in Kupwara
KUPWARA: Kupwara district has recorded an achievement of 73.80% of the annual district credit plan for the financial year 2013-14. This was revealed at a district level review committee (DLRC) meeting held under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara besides the meeting was attended by CPO, LDM, DDM NABARD, LDO RBI, officers from all the line departments and banks.
The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs. 232.97 crore has been disbursed under the priority sector and Rs. 78.05 crore under the non-priority sector in the financial year 2013-14. Total credit disbursement amounting to Rs. 311.02 crore has been recorded, the meeting was further told.
Giving details, it was also informed that Rs. 149.06 crore has been disbursed under agriculture sector and Rs. 52.69 crore under MSME sector upto March 31, 2014.
The District Development Manager, NABARD presented the details on potential linked plan (PLP) for the current financial year and emphasised on banks to work towards the achievement of set targets. He urged upon the banks to conduct financial awareness camps on regular basis in coordination with line departments to make people aware about the various schemes.
ADDC stressed upon the banks to focus towards MSME sector keeping in view the potential under the sector. He asked the line departments to go for proper identification of beneficiaries for financing purpose. He impressed upon the banks to work jointly with line departments in order to achieve the set targets.
