KULGAM MAY 22: An expenditure of Rs. 61.84 crore was booked under District Plan allocation for the year 2013-14 in Kulgam district upto ending 03/2014 which is the 96 percent of the total availability on various developmental and welfare schemes.
This was given out at a meeting held today at Kulgam under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Kulgam, Mr. Jehangir Ahmad Mir. While giving the details of the achievements made under District Plan, it was informed that under R&B Sector Rs. 12 crore were spent on 82 schemes including 34 NABARD schemes achieving WBM Grade I, II & III for 34.47 Kms. BT/MAC 7.75 Kms. Under MGNREGA 6824 works have been completed generating 19.02 lakh man days providing employment to 56706 job card holders involving an expenditure of Rs. 34 crore.
Similarly under IAY 427 units were completed involving an expenditure of Rs. 1.92 crores. Under PMGSY road length of 119.74 Kms was black topped and 86.04 Kms made fair weather at Rs. 106.92 crore covering 63 habitations benefiting 256054 souls. Under Social Welfare Rs. 2.21 crore have been provided under NSAP to 4665 cases, Rs. 5.74 crore under ISSS to 15121 beneficiaries. Under Power sector revenue of Rs. 24.50 crore was realized, 1247 inspections conducted besides 252 habitations brought under RGGVY.
