Sagar distributes relief to Dhobighat fire victims

Sagar-10SRINAGAR: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Ali Mohammad Sagar today distributed relief among the fire sufferers of Dhobighat, Hazratbal, whose houses were gutted in a devastating fire recently.
The function was organized by Common Cause Trust (CCT) and was also attended by officers of various departments.
Interacting with the victims, the Minister said that the government has already instructed the district administration to provide necessary help to the fire victims at the earliest as an interim measure. The administration has also been directed to prepare a comprehensive report about the damages/losses so that adequate compensation can be given to the victims. The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir has been asked to construct pre-fabricated huts to accommodate these affected families, said Mr. Sagar.
Meanwhile the Minister has also condoled the sad demise of the son of Deputy Director Information, Mohammad Yaqoob, who suddenly passed away at Jammu the other day.
In a condolence message, the Minister prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul and extended his personal sympathies to thebereaved family.
