Salman’s plea against conviction adjourned to July 1

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Monday adjourned till July 1 Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s appeal against his conviction in a September 2002 accident case by a lower court.

The Sessions Court had on May 6 convicted the actor to five years’ imprisonment for various charges, including culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

The superstar has been convicted for ramming his car into a bakery in Bandra west, killing one pavement dweller and injuring four others, on September 28, 2002.
