Despite the government crackdown on the corrupt people throughout the state, there are certain sections and certain government departments which are still not doing their work in an incorrupt way. There must be a source behind saying this, right?
Every other day, we see the news that so and so schemes are being launched by the government. Particularly, the present union government has launched numerous schemes for the benefit of the public. But why there’s no difference? Where is the problem? It is in the implementing mechanism.
The work of the Parliament and the state legislatures is to make laws. It depends on the executive department or the administration sector how a scheme or policy is implemented. But every now and then, we see the administration failing. Evidently, according to the recent news reports, Swach Bharat Abhiyan has failed in Budgam district. The Abhiyan under the Clean India Mission has failed to make a visual impact. The concerned authorities have failed to find a way to manage garbage and find a suitable dumping area. The result is that the locals and the tourists are at liberty to irresponsibly throw garbage anywhere.
Also, the Pradhan Mantri Grameen Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) has failed to make any difference in Kupwara. The improper execution of the scheme has kept the far-flung villages devoid of road connectivity.
It is disheartening to note that despite so many efforts being made by the Governor administration, the administrators at the rural level are still not doing their work efficiently. Perhaps, the recent decision of the government to evaluate the performance of the government officials will make a difference in the work approach.
