Rajouri, April 19: Rajouri-Budhal road at Palma was blocekd for more than two hours by activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal for demanding strict action against those who were involved in an alleged sacrilegious act.
Rattan Lal a resident of Palma village alleged that last night some unknown persons entered his cattle shed and committed an act of sacrilege and in morning, when he found one of his cows unconscious, he immediately contacted the local villagers and the police.
Before the police could arrive, activists of the VHP and Bajrang Dal headed by Sat Pal Sharma and Karan Thakur reached the victims place.
Later, the activists blocked the Rajouri-Budhal road with the help of villagers. SSP Rajeshwar Singh rushed the spot along with Hamid Choudhry, DSP (Headquarters), and sniper dogs.
DSP has assured the protesters that quick action would be taken against those who were involved in this crime. Meanwhile the police have held three persons for questioning.
A senior police officer later said that the mater is under investigation.
Thakur said that, if in next two days those who have commited this crime are not arrested by police, our activists will come out on the roads and the police will be responsible for that.
