Second inspection of Election Expenditure Register’s conducted



SRINAGAR: The second inspection of Election Expenditure Registers of the candidates of 02-Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency was today conducted in presence of Election Expenditure Observer Dr. Khumkar Mahesh, Nodal Officers, Expenditure Monitoring and Assistant Expenditure Observers at Srinagar.


During the inspection, all the expenditure incurred by the contesting candidates and reflected in their Expenditure Registers for 15 Assembly segments of the Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency spread over Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal districts were thoroughly examined, inspected and compared with the Shadow Registers and folders of evidence maintained by the Accounting Teams, assisted by the concerned Accounting Teams, located at the Assembly levels.

While pointing out some deficiencies and lacunae, the contesting candidates/Election agents were provided with proper guidance to overcome the same and come up with reconciled data on next date of inspection fixed for April 28, 2014. The contesting candidates were also requested not to conceal any expenditure and submit the daily bank statements against the bank accounts maintained for meeting out election related expenditures and have all details reflected on the part ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ of their Expenditure Registers to correlate with the cumulative expenditures booked so far.
