Secretary Cooperative reviews working of Sainik cooperative House Building society
JAMMU- Secretary Cooperative, R K Koul visited Sainik Cooperative House Building Society ltd. to review its working.
The Administrator Vikas Verma presented before the Secretary Cooperatives the profile and working of the Society. The activities and various issues of the Society were also highlighted before the Secretary.
The Sainik Cooperative House Building Society ltd formed by ex-servicemen, is a registered Cooperative Society under J&K Cooperative Societies Act 1989. It was registered in the year 1970. The Society is functioning with the objective to provide land for residential purpose to its members. At present there are around 6119 members of the Society.
The Sainik Colony is the largest Housing Colony in the state, which is spread over nearly 4000 kanal of land in Sunjwan- Chowadi area of Distt. Jammu.
During the course of review Secretary Cooperative suggested many a means through which working of the Society can be made more effective.
The Secretary Cooperative after taking review also interacted with the founder members of the Society. Members requested that election to the board of directors be conducted to which Secretary assured that election of the Society will be conducted as per Cooperative Act and Rules at the earliest.
The Additional Registrar, Ms. Anjana Tikoo and Dy. Secretary Cooperative Mukhtar Ahmed also participated in the meeting.
